SVG Viewer Tips

With the cursor on the SVG image, there are several standard controls available:

Navigating

Panning:

<Alt> left-drag to pan an SVG image.
<Alt-Shift> left-drag to pan horizontal or vertical depending on first move.

Zooming:

<Ctrl> left-click to zoom out.
<Ctrl> left-drag to select zoom window.
<Ctrl-Shift> left-click to zoom in.
You can also use the zoom commands [Zoom In], [Zoom Out] in the context menu.

 

 

Using the contextual pop-up Menu

Right-click in the SVG image area to open the contextual pop-up menu. This will reveal the commands and options for interacting with the SVG image.

Descriptions

[Higher Quality]

Disable the "higher quality"-option will cause the SVG image to display more quickly, but with lower quality

[Pause]

To pause an animated SVG image

[Mute]

To disable any sounds embedded in the SVG image

[Find]

Open the find dialog box. Here you may enter the text you want to search for the entire graphic document. The result of the search is highlighted, and panned (but not zoomed) into view.

[Copy SVG]

Copy the SVG image to the clipboard in both Unicode and raster formats.You can paste it to any application.

[View SVG]

Display the SVG image in a new, full screen browser window

[View Source]

Display the SVG source code in a new browser window

[Save SVG As]

Save the image to a local file
